Hello!  Welcome to Mrs. Gellman's second grade class!  When I was in second grade, my teacher, Mrs. Horvath, asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.  With confidence, I announced that my plan was to become a teacher...and I stuck to my plan!  After earning my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University and my Master's Degree in Instruction and Curriculum from Kean University, I began my teaching career at Defino in 2004.  I have taught both first and second grades for many years.  I am excited to be teaching your second graders for the 2023-2024 school year.  This is going to be such a wonderful year, and I am looking forward to watching my students grow academically, socially and emotionally.  I believe in open lines of communication, so please do not hesitate to call or email me at [email protected].  Please note that our classroom will be a nut free classroom, so please make sure snacks are allergy friendly.
