About Ms. Alicastro

teacher

Hello! My name is Brittany Alicastro and I am thrilled to be teaching 4th grade this year. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all! This is my 10th year teaching in the Marlboro District! I cannot wait for a fabulous year together filled with learning, growing, fun, and success!

I graduated from Montclair State University with a B.A in K-6 Elementary Education. After Montclair, I attended Georgian Court and received my M.A. in Education with certifications for both Teacher of Students with Disabilities and Reading/Literacy Specialization. This year, I will complete my certification to be a Wilson Reading Program Practitioner. I am extremely passionate about teaching and have never imagined myself doing anything else with my career. It is because of the caring, dedicated, and nurturing teachers I had while in school that I wanted to pursue a career in education. It is my hope to be that kind of teacher for your children and be someone they can rely on while encouraging them to reach their fullest potential and discover who they truly are! It is my belief that the best environment for successful learning is one that students feel safe, comfortable, and have fun in. It is my goal to create a classroom where students look forward to coming to school each day.

I believe communication is an important part of a successful year. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. You can contact me at [email protected]
