Principal's Message

Dear Defino Families:

Welcome to Defino Central School, a school that has a rich and vibrant history and an equally bright and exciting future.

We pride ourselves on being a community school. The more students and parents feel a part of the community, the more successful we will be. You are encouraged to not only join our wonderful PTO, but to become an active and supportive participant. The PTO enriches and supports the academic and social programs at Defino; one example is the cultural arts program which brings outstanding performers and groups to share their talents and knowledge with students. The PTO is a partner in the truest sense of the word and their efforts add significantly to the programs, offerings, and success of Defino Central School. Together, we will make a difference for our students.

Defino has one single purpose -- to provide a first-rate learning experience for every student in our school. Teachers and staff members are dedicated to this purpose. The Defino faculty is a talented group who continuously look for ways to improve their craft and add to their teaching “toolbox.” We have a committed and amazing group of support employees who make all things possible at Defino and go above and beyond to support our students and staff. I encourage you to communicate with teachers and staff and work together to create a learning environment that supports continuous growth and development in our students.

I am honored to work alongside you to make Defino Central the very best place for our students to learn and grow.  Please feel welcome to reach out to me at any time to share your thoughts, feedback, or concerns.

Sincerely,

Dave Stratuik
