Rules and Requirements

Here is a reminder of the 2023-24 class schedule so that students may be prepared for physical education on the assigned days.

Requirements

Students are expected to come prepared to physical education class on their assigned day.  In order to assure that students can safely and comfortably participate in all class activities, they are required to wear socks and sneakers with Velcro or laces to class.  Students should wear comfortable clothes that have plenty of room for active movement, and avoid wearing jewelry such as long necklaces and rings.  

The following shoes are NOT acceptable:

• Sneakers with platforms, heels, buckles or zippers
• Hiking, snow or rain boots
• Slip on sneakers

If your child has any medical or physical limitations that require non-participation in gym classes for a period of time, a doctor's note will be approved by the nurse via a written request from you.

Students who are able to meet the requirements will have a fun, safe and productive year in physical education class.

Rules

• Respect others, yourself, equipment, and the teacher.
• No sliding in the gym.
• Show good sportsmanship.
• Be prepared.
• #1 Rule of the school: Keep your hands to yourself!
