We work on listening, naming objects and memory for oral language, following directions, and reinforcing phonemic awareness and blending sounds to make words. A lot of game-type activities are employed.I am recommending the ABC Mouse app for use at home. He can practice writing letters, letter names and sounds, decoding, and other skills that I also address in class.

Hi Wendy and Rocco,
I am attaching 2 short paragraphs about seahorses and jellyfish. I also would like you to access the youtube videos they have for different animals.
http://youtube.com/NatGeoWild Then scroll to the animal you want to see. I'll be sending more short paragraphs about additional animals. You can view the video first with Rocco and then read the short paragraph to him. I got the info from a Grade1-Grade2 workbook and watered it down. You can ask him the questions at the end and see how he does.
