Hi Denise and Mom,
I know Denise is working pretty quickly. I'm sending more papers. She can read the words with her sister or parent. She knows adjectives describe a nound and that synonyms mean almost the same. I'll be calling this Thursday to find out how she is doing.
Stay healthy,
Mrs. Amato
Due:
Assignment
Here are some sheets with adjectives (words that describe nouns) and synonyms (words that mean about the same). She will need help reading some of the new words although I tried to put the pronunciations of the hard ones. I will be calling tomorrow to see how she is doing. Hopefully, I will soon be able to use Zoom so I can see Denise face to face!
Stay healthy,
Mrs. Amato

Assignment
Hi Denise and Mom,
I am attaching 2 short paragraphs about different sea animals. I would also like you to view a video about the animal before you read the paragraph so it will be more meaningful. Just access http://youtube.com/NatGeoWild and then scroll to the animal you want.
I will be sending more paragraphs about different animals soon!
Stay healthy,
Mrs. Amato

Assignment
Hi ,
I will be sending attachment with written assignments. Since I only see DJ 3 times a week, I'm sure I will be sending enough work to fill the time for three 3 hours sessions. I also recommend that DJ practice categorizing and naming objects in your home such as: kitchen utensils, furniture, etc. This can be done in a very natural way during the course of the day. Don't feel that you are required to do a lot of extra work. Just emphasize important vocabulary as it comes up during the day.
I also checked out ABC Mouse which offers a 30 day free trial. It has activities such as tracing letters. Denise needs practice making 'r', 'g', 'j', 'k', and 'q'. There are some skills at the second grade level that she could also use. I will be adding more apps or resources as we go along.

Hi Denise and Family,
Please ignore the due date. These are just fun facts that you can share with your family. If something is hard, ask your sister or mom to help. BUT, I think you can do it!
