Welcome to Mrs. Bayer's Fifth Grade Class
Hello and welcome to my teacher page! My name is Robin Bayer. I have been a public school teacher for 20 years, and also taught in the private sector for 3 years. This is my eighth year teaching at Defino Central, where I have taught both fourth and fifth grade. I began my teaching career as a 5th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher in Elizabeth, New Jersey. I then moved to 1st grade before leaving Elizabeth for East Brunswick. During my tenure in East Brunswick I taught, 1st grade and 4th grade, and I also served as the school's Reading Specialist. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Long Island University. I then went on to receive my Master of Arts degree in Reading Specialization with a Basic Skills option from Kean University. I am looking forward to a wonderful and productive year with your children. Our second novel of the year will be Heat written by Mike Lupica.
