Hello Students and Families,

Welcome to marking period #1 of our 2025-2026 school year!

I am happy to have you as part of this year's "Shugrue Crew" Learning Community!

As you can discuss with your child, during our first week together the students are becoming familiar with my 3rd grade classroom expectations. We are acclimating well together and focusing on our classroom procedures and routines. We are immersing our 3rd grade behavior with positivity, kindness, and respect during our year together. WE ARE A PEANUT FREE AND TREE-NUT FREE CLASSROOM SO PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD'S SNACK LABELS BEFORE YOU SEND IN, EACH DAY. WE MUST KEEP ALL STUDENTS SAFE (THANK YOU!).

Back to School Night!

Please mark your calendars, accordingly!

During our year together, I welcome your feedback along this journey so that, together, we can best support your child's growth in all subject areas, as well as socially with their classmates and other Defino Dolphins.

Just a reminder, each day, HW will be copied by students into their Defino agenda pad/assignment pad and will also be posted onto my Google Classroom HOMEROOM page under "Announcements". The daily HW information will be available at approximately 3:10pm each afternoon.

Please feel free to send-in a water bottle with your child to retain in his/her backpack during the school day.

All water bottles should be labelled with the student's name.

To all parents/guardians, please remember that our lines of communication are always open...it is through our home-school collaboration that the children will continue to grow and benefit most.
